Maj (Rtd) Ibrahim Gituru Gathirwa is a seasoned strategic leader with extensive experience in financial technology, cybersecurity, intelligence, and organizational transformation.He serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Qlick Solutions Ltd, where he leads digital payments and technology innovation.
Before joining the private sector, Maj (Rtd) Gituru served in the Kenya Defence Forces, rising to the rank of Major and holding senior leadership roles within the Directorate of Military Intelligence and the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC). His career included leading initiatives in cybersecurity, intelligence, policy development, technology integration, and multi-agency collaboration, contributing to national cybersecurity frameworks and strategic security programmes.
Maj (Rtd) Gituru holds a Bachelor of Business Information Technology from Strathmore University and is pursuing an MBA in Strategic Management at the University of Nairobi. With professional certifications in cybersecurity, information systems auditing, ethical hacking, and network administration, he is passionate about leveraging technology, sound governance, and innovation to strengthen financial institutions and expand access to sustainable financial solutions.
